Our Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide assistance to men and women, ages 21-64, suffering from drug and alcohol dependence. All rehabilitation costs, medical needs, accommodations, and meals are provided, as are GED and parenting classes. The residential program has a minimum required stay of six months to one year.

Recovery is gradually attained through practical approaches to chemical dependency, increasing self-awareness, becoming responsible for one's own actions, developing solid coping skills, changing destructive behavior patterns, and replacing old habits with new, positive ones. Beneficiaries take part in a comprehensive counseling program and spiritual activities as requirements of the program.

The ARC is well known for its successful use of work therapy. Participants in the program are given work in various positions in coordination with Salvation Army Thrift Stores. The beneficiaries restore their useful, productive work habits as well as build self-esteem and discipline while sorting and preparing recycled goods donated by the community for resale. The income received through the sale of these items is the sole source of revenue for the entire ARC program.

The ARC program is community-supported through:

  • Donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and household items
  • Donations of vehicles (cars, trucks, boats and RVs)
  • Purchases at The Salvation Army Thrift Stores
  • Volunteers who help in the counseling program or with donation processing
  • Local businesses that donate property space for donation trailers

If you or someone you love struggles with addiction, please call the center nearest you.
